I’ve been working in the dental field for about two years now. I joined Sunny Smiles in early 2025, and I’ve truly loved every minute of it! What drew me to this field was a role model who introduced me to the world of dentistry. Her passion sparked my own interest, and she took the time to train me for the front desk—a role that I now take great pride in.
One of my favorite things about working in dentistry is that there’s always something new to learn. The field is constantly evolving, and I enjoy learning about new advancements and figuring out how we can use them to better serve our patients.
I believe open communication is key when it comes to patient care. I do my best to make sure every patient feels heard, respected, and supported throughout their time with us. I’m always happy to answer questions or help with anything that might come up.
I’m certified in HIPAA, OSHA, CPR, and CareCredit, and I’m always looking to grow. When I’m not at the office, I love traveling—especially to places with a beach! I also enjoy evening walks with my dog, cooking, and spending time with friends. And a little fun fact about me: I’ve lived in Berkeley Springs my entire life!
I’ve been a part of Sunny Smiles Family Dentistry since 1998 and have truly enjoyed being part of our dental family ever since. Dr. Leslie and Dr. Mahavadi lead by example when it comes to serving our community and promoting dental health. Our team has been together for many years and feels more like a close-knit family, which makes coming to work each day something I genuinely look forward to.
Outside of the office, I stay busy with my wonderful family — three daughters, one son, and seven grandchildren who bring so much joy to my life. I love spending time with friends, entertaining, helping with social events, and working on projects around the farmhouse. When I can, I also enjoy taking a quick getaway to recharge.
I’ve been working in the dental field for about five years and have spent the past nine months here with this amazing team. What I love most about my job is that I get to work right here in my hometown—I’m constantly running into familiar faces, which makes each day feel that much more special. One of my favorite parts of the day is chatting with patients and hearing all their stories. I truly enjoy connecting with people.
I was inspired to pursue a career in dentistry by my mom, who’s worked in the dental field for as long as I can remember. I grew up around it and always admired her passion. After I had my daughter, I knew it was time for me to follow in her footsteps.
At the front desk, my approach to patient care is all about open communication, consistency, and treating everyone with kindness and respect. I believe it’s important to make patients feel cared for and comfortable the moment they walk through the door.
I’m certified in HIPAA, OSHA, and CPR, and always eager to keep learning. Outside of work, I spend most of my time with my family. My fiancé and I love finding new adventures for our 7-year-old daughter—we’re always exploring parks, riding bikes on the C&O Canal, heading to the beach, or taking trips in our camper. We love creating memories together!
A fun fact about me? I have lots of family in Alaska, and we travel there often. My daughter even took her very first flight to Alaska when she was just two years old!
I’ve been working in the medical field for about three years and joined the amazing team at Sunny Smiles in 2024. I’ve always known I wanted to be in a profession where I could help others, and I’ve found that working in the dental field allows me to do just that every single day.
What I enjoy most about my job is working with patients. I love being part of their care journey and making sure they feel comfortable and well taken care of. My approach is simple: always be willing to help and treat everyone with kindness and compassion.
I received on-the-job training when I first started, and I continue learning every day. Outside of work, you’ll usually find me outdoors—I love hiking, fishing, and just being in nature. And a fun fact about me: I love all animals!
I’ve been working as a Dental Assistant at Sunny Smiles since 2024 — and I’m loving every minute of it! I truly enjoy being part of a team that’s dedicated to making people feel comfortable and cared for.
I’ve always had a passion for helping others, which is what led me into the dental field. Being able to support patients, ease their nerves, and contribute to their health and confidence is incredibly rewarding for me.
Outside of work, I’m all about adventure! I love exploring new places with my boyfriend and our dogs. I also have a big heart for family—spending time with my nieces and nephews always brings me so much joy. And just for fun: I’m a huge fan of Minions!
I’m so excited to continue growing in this field and helping our patients feel their best every step of the way.
I’ve been a part of Sunny Smiles since 2006. I enjoy seeing the way our doctors and team care for our patients and make them feel comfortable. My favorite thing about working in the dental field is watching a patient’s reactions when they see their newly restored smile! There’s nothing better than helping a person feel better about their smile!
When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and three kids. We have a farm with many animals to keep us busy, but when we have time, we love camping and seeing new places.
Hi! My name is Dixie. I began with Dr. Leslie in 2000 as a dental assistant and was inspired to become a dental hygienist. I am now back in the practice, working with patients one on one, and I absolutely love it! It’s so rewarding to see how clean my patients’ smiles are, and to know that I’ve put so much care into their health. I look forward to working with you and your family. Together we can achieve excellent dental health!
When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, two daughters, stepdaughter, and four dogs. As a family, we enjoy vacationing in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, and working on the farm. I am a member of and volunteer with the community fire department.
I’ve been working at Dr. Leslie’s practice since 2007. This is a very caring practice that puts patients first. We are a group of people who truly want to help others. I am very proud to be part of this team because we all make our patients feel comfortable and at ease.
Not originally from Berkeley Springs, I enjoy learning more and more about this area. My husband and I have four children, and we love to boat, fish, and just enjoy life together. I look forward to getting to know you and your family!
I am a Registered Dental Hygienist with over 20 years of experience in the dental field. I’ve been part of this practice since 2017, but my roots go even deeper—I grew up right here in Berkeley Springs, so caring for this community truly feels like coming full circle.
What I love most about my job is the chance to build real connections with my patients. I believe in treating every patient like family and take pride in creating a comfortable environment where people feel heard, valued, and supported in their oral health journey. One of my biggest passions is educating patients on how to keep their smiles healthy for life.
I hold a General Supervision Permit, which allows me to continue providing care even when the dentist is away—something I’m proud to offer as part of our commitment to consistent, quality care.
Outside of the office, I own Highview Quilts, where I teach quilting classes and help clients bring their quilt projects to life. It’s a creative outlet I truly enjoy. I also live on a family farm and am a proud grandmother to four amazing grandchildren.
I'm grateful to be part of a team that puts patients first and a community that feels like home. I look forward to seeing you in the office!
